Adcombi adds video to local advertising technology

Ad Tech company Adcombi announces that it has diversified its local advertising technology by adding video to its capabilities.

In doing so, Adcombi becomes the first company in Europe to allow businesses with multiple stores / points of sale to enrich national video campaigns on a local level as well as disseminate those videos through premium video platforms.

Automotive giant Opel is the first brand to use this technology in the Netherlands for its local dealer network. The dealers are now able to set up video advertising campaigns in their own service areas, while Opel has the possibility to allocate budgets per dealer as it deems fit.

By adding video advertising to its arsenal and integrating it with its proprietary local advertising technology, the fast-growing scale-up has positioned itself as a frontrunner by anticipating two major trends within the digital ad market: the increasing demand of advertisers to show relevant ads to consumers and the ever-increasing popularity of video advertising.

However, it is remarkable that video hasn't really been used to reach local audiences with personalized messages. The main reason for this has been the dealers' lack of financial resources to create and disseminate video content.
